Suite Startup Deal Workshop & More at Social Law

Law Practice Startup Workshop with a Suite Deal at Social Law Library

This article is for informational purposes only. It is not intended to be used in place of professional advice, treatment, or care in any way. Lawyers, law students, judges, and other legal professionals in Massachusetts can find more on scheduling a Free & Confidential appointment with a licensed clinician here.

If you’re starting your own law practice — or just thinking about it — you have a lot of questions to answer. Do you know what technology to purchase? How to get clients? What entity to select? How to do an IOLTA three-way reconciliation?

Our next (FREE) Law Practice Startup Workshop at Social Law Library on September 14th will give you answers to these questions and more to help you start out on the right foot. You’ll get the essential tools to build a sustainable law firm in today’s economy and guidance from our expert faculty in the following areas:

  • Marketing and Business Development Strategies
  • Billing and Financial Management
  • Corporate Compliance
  • Technology Implementation
  • Client Management
  • Ethical Pitfalls

And Social Law Library has a uniquely helpful offering we want our Law Practice Startups to know about. They recently announced an innovative and novel membership service with a reputable practice management program, Zola Suite. As you will hear during our Startup Workshop, we believe that practice management software is essential for today’s solo and small firms to maintain an efficient and effective firm and to compete in today’s legal marketplace. LOMAP advises new firms to implement practice management software early on so that when you get busy you already have a system in place that can accommodate the flow and maximize productivity.

The Library is now offering members free accounts to Zola Suite’s standard practice management cloud software. Accounts also include one free administrator and one free accountant for each participating member law office. Zola Suite is a reputable cloud-based practice management product with a clean user interface, integrated email and client portal, accounting platform, and more. We’ll give you a sneak peak at the software and Social Law Library personnel will be available to answer questions during the Startup Workshop.

As a fully operational library in the heart of Boston, Social Law Library offers members access to references materials, databases (both on-site and remote), as well as practice tools specifically for small firms including website development, graphic design, and IT services.

In the meantime, get a head start on your practice by visiting our online Startup Kit, here.
