2021 Women of Legal Tech Summit: Call for Speakers and Registration Now Open for Virtual Conference March 3-4

The 2021 Women of Legal Tech Summit is March 3-4, hosted by the ABA Women Rainmakers, honoring the ABA LTRC’s 2021 Women of Legal Tech Honorees.

 

Register by March 2

This year’s WLT Summit will be a virtual conference on March 3-4, 2021. Typically held alongside ABA TECHSHOW in Chicago (also virtual this year), the summit is an annual symposium on closing the legal tech gender gap and celebrating progress made.

The WLT Summit recognizes the ABA Legal Technology Resource Center’s 2021 Women of Legal Tech, an annual honor established in 2015 by then-LOMAP Practice Advisor Heidi Alexander. Find more on this year’s 12 new honorees here!

This year’s summit will also offer inspiration with “ignite-style sessions from leading women in legal tech, breakout sessions with leaders in the field, and interactive workshops.” Proposals for ignite-style sessions are being accepted as of Monday, February 1, details follow.

Call for Speakers Open February 1

Submissions will be accepted on a rolling admissions basis starting on February 1, 2021. As the call explains, “If you are a woman with an interest in or career in the tech or legal tech field and unique insight and ideas, we are looking for you. The ABA Women Rainmakers Committee is inviting you to speak during our annual Women of Legal Tech Summit, where we celebrate and equip women overcoming systemic barriers to impact the legal tech industry.”

The format is a 7-minute presentation with timed slides advancing every 20-30 seconds for a quick and exciting pace. Topics must fall under one of 4 themes:

  1. Signs of the Times: The State of Legal Tech and the Women Leading the Charge (Reflective/analytical presentations that tell us where we are as women in Legal Tech, where we are going, and how we may get there.)

  2. Good Trouble: The Art of Creating More Inclusive Workspace (Making workplaces more diverse and the impact of such actions, role of Allies in bringing meaningful change.)

  3. Value Added: The Power of Entrepreneurship

  4. Resilient Leadership: Leading Through (or in) Uncertainty
