More

April 28, 2021 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm

Join the next conversation co-hosted by MILS and the National Black Law Students Association (NBLSA), which will be on “Detraumatizing Our Bodies, Minds and Hearts: A Conversation About Race, Policing and Mindfulness,” with Dr. Donald F. Tibbs, Race and Policing Expert at St. Thomas School of Law, and Bella Dilworth, MILS Board Member and 32-year trial lawyer and supervisor with the LA County Public Defender. Professor Donald Tibbs will be discussing the state-sanctioned killings of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and Daunte Wright; and how to relieve yourself of the trauma that’s endured from watching these tragic events occur. Ms. Bella Dilworth will guide us through mindfulness exercises that can assist with our journey to detraumatize our minds, bodies, and hearts.
