More

April 7, 2021 9:00 am

THE NATIONAL CONFERENCE ON LAWYER WELL-BEING has been created by The Wellbeing Work Alliance in association with the recently formed Institute for Well-Being in Law (formerly known as the National Task Force for Lawyer Well-Being)

This ground-breaking event will be streamed live direct to your desk, laptop computer or phone (participation terms below), and moderated by Chris Newbold, former co-chair of the National Task Force.

The conference will be presented in two different half day modules: The morning will  focus on individual well-being including some “personal journeys” by some of our speakers and the afternoon will focus on law firm and institutional approaches to well-being and proving the business case for well-being.

Attendees will have the choice of attending one or both modules, including access to a mid-day Keynote address, which will be presented by several members of The Institute for Well-Being in Law.

Full speaker biographies, as well as a detailed schedule of format and topics to be addressed, will be shared in advance with each attendee. Content will be appropriate for lawyers, judges and managers of all institutions that are part of the legal profession, be they law firms, Bar Associations or any other business entity that is interested in the topic of well-being – locally, state-wide, nationally or internationally, together with academics and HR, Learning and Development professionals and service providers.

Speakers will include 20 experts from the United States and United Kingdom, each of whom is uniquely qualified to speak to the issue of lawyer well-being and existing programs that have been designed/implemented in different law firms, to address/promote lawyer well-being.

The conference will appeal to all those within every part of the legal industry and HR departments who “get” both the importance of managing well-being in their working environment, and how developing and applying the principles of well-being are not only inextricably linked to profitability and productivity, but also with attracting and retaining the very best people.

Delegates will take away with them an insight into the latest thinking on well-being in practice, together with the tools they need to drive forward the development and enhancement of their own organization’s well-being policies and practices.
