DESCRIPTION
The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017, which took effect at the start of 2018, introduced substantial change.
In this special hour-long edition of Webinars for Busy Lawyers, Mary Vandenack and Michael Weaver will help you understand how you might be able to benefit from the TCJA with your work as a lawyer.
The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 added Section 199A to the Internal Revenue Code providing a deduction to owners of pass-through entities and a lower tax rate for C corporations. Most service providers, including lawyers, are severely limited in any ability to benefit from the new law.
There are however creative ways that lawyers can restructure their entities to get some benefits from the new tax law. This webinar considers how professionals can use retirement plans to reduce income thresholds, spin out real estate and non-service business interests and other strategies to achieve benefits under 199A.
Our Webinars for Busy Lawyers are always FREE but spots are limited so register now!
