What Small Firms Need to Know as Employers

Does your firm employ or engage even one person, such as a secretary, clerk, intern, office assistant, paralegal, or other attorney, to help you do your work?  Then you should make sure you know about the various state and federal employment laws that may affect your firm, including wage and hour laws, worker classification laws, equal pay laws, sick leave law, paid family and medical leave laws, harassment laws, and personnel records law, among others. Violation of any of these laws can have serious consequences.  During this hour-long brown bag lunch, employment lawyer Liz Adler and employment and business litigator Andrea Kramer will provide information you need to know about these laws.
