This article is for informational purposes only. It is not intended to be used in place of professional advice, treatment, or care in any way. Lawyers, law students, judges, and other legal professionals in Massachusetts can find more on scheduling a Free & Confidential appointment with a licensed clinician here.

UPDATE: The Massachusetts Fee Agreement Best Practice Guide is available for FREE here. This resource was developed in 2018 by the working group we formed with the MBA.

If you have not yet heard, I am now writing a monthly column for the website, Attorney at Work. It’s called ‘Managing’, and it’s got a cool logo, and all; but, I also try to throw some good content up in there, on the regular.
This month, I covered five fee agreement clauses you should consider, if you don’t already include them. The list includes:

  • Technology Applications
  • Evergreen Retainer
  • File Disposition
  • Scope Provision
  • Communication Guidelines

I don’t know what I’m going to write yet for September; but, I bet it’ll probably be awesome. Don’t believe me? There’s a track record in place: Check out the column archive, here.
