The 2012 National Conference for Lawyer Assistance Programs is coming up, October 9 – 12. This unique conference gives judges, disciplinary staff, law school administrators and law firm managers an opportunity to learn how to appropriately meet the challenges facing individual attorneys and those trying to help. For those of us charged with helping others it is a great opportunity to learn from expert speakers on issues ranging from treating addiction and supporting recovery, to how to identify and assist lawyers and judges with cognitive impairments, and how to help law students with substance abuse issues. If you find that you need more knowledge and resources to properly respond to attorneys and students then there is no better place to be on October 9 than Grand Rapids, Michigan. Come and learn more and support the American Bar Association and Lawyers Assistance Programs nationwide in their effort to assist attorneys.
