The annual COLAP conference features sessions about leadership in lawyer well-being from a variety of perspectives, and this year will focus on Cultivating Agility and Resilience in Times of Change, in a virtual format for the first time ever.
In a virtual format for the first time ever, the 2020 National Conference for Lawyer Assistance Programs will be held on Wednesday, November 11th and Thursday, November 12th. It will feature sessions of interest to judges, disciplinary staff, bar leaders, lawyer assistance program directors and staff, law school administrators and law firm managers, as well as abundant opportunities to network with LAP personnel and volunteers involved in Law Assistance Programs from across the United States and Canada. Lawyer Assistance Programs (LAPs) throughout the country like LCL MA provide similar free & confidential mental health, recovery, and well-being services and support to their local legal communities.

The conference begins at 10am on Wednesday, November 11, 2020 with 45-minutes of recovery and well-being across three breakout sessions, and will run until 5:45pm including end of day networking breakouts, with the same hours on its second, Thursday, November 12, 2020. The conference will feature a virtual expo hall.
The Commission’s Certificate of Appreciation for Justices will be presented posthumously to Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court Chief Justice Ralph D. Gants at the awards reception on November 11th.
